Get to know our new Finance Manager!

Ingrid is a qualified auditor, and spent her first ten years working at the Norwegian Tax Administration before joining what was then a newly established accounting firm on Midsund. 

She went on to lead it for the next ten years, with responsibility for everything from client support to quality management, alongside her own caseload and the role as managing director. In 2021, the company was sold to Admento, where she has been until now – primarily working with support and configuration related to the accounting platform Xledger. 

– That experience is probably part of the reason I got the job here – I’ve used this system throughout my entire career, and we also have it here at SHM. 

She holds certifications across all of its modules, and this was also part of why she applied in the first place.

– I really value this expertise, so I wanted to work for a company where I could continue using it. 

Ingrid was familiar with SHM through Admento and had a good impression. 

– They weren’t one of the clients I had responsibility for, but I knew the company was growing and that a lot of exciting things were happening. They struck me as curious about technology and open to changes that would help them work more efficiently and gain better insights.

Joining the maritime industry was also a natural fit, as Ingrid feels most at home on the water. She’s married with two children, and the family jokes that their boat is her third child. There are few things she enjoys more than being out at sea or getting hands-on with tasks on board. She now has more time for that than before, when she was running a farm on Midsund alongside her husband – on top of a full-time job at the firm. Although he took the main responsibility for the farm, those were hardly quiet years.

We hope she will thrive here at SHM, and Ingrid says she’s had a great start and feels warmly welcomed.

– Even though we had not officially started yet, all new employees were invited to the gathering in Angvika in August. I really appreciated that – it was an excellent introduction to the company, the products, and the people. I have only good feelings so far.
