Enabling safe and efficient operations for vessels worldwide
What we do
We're a leading provider of deck equipment, systems, thrusters and marine cranes to the global market including Norway, Chile, Tasmania, Scotland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
SHM was founded in Molde (Norway) in 2013, where we still have our headquarters and most of our employees.
We have extensive experience within aquaculture, as well as a strong track record of deliveries to a wide range of other vessel types. Our mission is to support optimized marine operations – making them safer, more efficient and profitable. We're the leader in HSE and efficiency for fish farm service vessels.
Our product portfolio includes a broad range of deck equipment and maritime total solutions tailored to withstand rough and salty environments. Everything is designed for easy assembly and integration. We also deliver hydraulic systems, control systems and system design.
At SHM Solutions, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality solutions and services. Our team of competent and innovative professionals is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of each client.
How it started
Three engineers. High ambitions. A service vessel fleet.
Molde, 2013: Our founders, Yngve, Jørn and Odd Arne were working in the offshore industry when they noticed new needs emerging in aquaculture. In recent years, the number of service vessels had grown — and they were getting bigger. The trend seemed to point in only one direction.
One day they decided to leave their jobs and start something new, together. Some people said they were crazy, but they believed in their idea. They were going all in, aiming to create the world's best deck equipment for service vessels — improving safety for the crew.
They succeeded. The rest is history.
